Richard Bell is a PhD candidate at the School of Political Science and International Studies, based in the Asia-Pacific Centre for the Responsibility to Protect. Richard has a background in peace and conflict research, including completing a Master’s Degree in Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University, Sweden.
Prior to starting his PhD mid-2019, Richard worked as an Australia-based consultant on international development, specialising in sustaining peace with work in Papua New Guinea, Nepal, Myanmar and East Timor. Richard currently does some small ongoing consulting on evaluations of law and justice programs in the Pacific.
