Bu Wilson

Bu Wilson is a Principal Consultant with Hau Meni & Associates. She is a Monitoring and Evaluation, and Program Design practitioner focused on Law & Justice, Policing, and Ending Violence Against Women programming. She has twenty years of experience working in, and on, the Asia Pacific region for national and sub-national governments; and non-government, civil society, academic and private sector organisations.

She undertook her PhD at the Regulatory Institutions Network at ANU on the development of the East Timorese Police, and completed a Master of Laws in Comparative Law, focused on the Indonesian legal system. She has published on police development, security sector reform, native title in marine contexts, customary marine tenure, and Indonesian fishing in the Australian fishing zone.

Her current research interests include gender and police development under international auspices, and case studies of successful integrated responses to ending violence against women.
